‘HOT’ TIP TO GET YOUR CAT EATING AGAIN

Cats often stop eating when they have a cold because they can’t smell their food. One good way to stimulate eating again is to microwave your cat’s food for about 15 seconds. This will have the effect of making the food more fragrant and triggers off the desire to eat again.

My seven-year-old cat Ricky has suffered from hives a few times in his life. One tip I was given which works a treat is to brew two cups of green or black tea and add it to your cat’s bath water. Tea contains tannin which helps reduce itching.

There is nothing worse than trying to get an ill cat to take a pill. Being a cattery you can imagine how many cats we have to medicate so my manager tried tuna pate with great results. The cats all come running up for more - just pop the tablet in a small lump of pate and they should gulp it up in seconds. CHEESY SUGGESTION FOR EASING CAT MOUTH ULCERS!

My cat was suffering from mouth ulcers and was very distressed by the problem. My friend suggested mixing white cheddar cheese with water to make a smooth paste. This is spread on your cat’s gums and the enzymes in the cheese have the effect of eating the bacteria and alleviating the infection. It worked for my cat.
